Can you Pour the Perfect Pint?
Sunday, March 3rd. at Graney's Stout join us and Pour The Perfect Pint to enter and win great prizes including a trip to Ireland. Registration starts at 3pm. Pour starts at 4pm.
A. Contestants may enter the contest on www.gotbeer.com, but must be present at the event and register in person in order to participate. Entering online does not guarantee a person an entry in the contest.
B. Contestants may also enter by registering the night of the event at Stout’s. Registration for all contestants (including those registering online) begins at 3:00 p.m. and the contest begins promptly at 4:00 p.m. All registered contestants will be entered on a list and will receive a wristband.
C. All contestants will be required to make a $10 donation to The Leary Firefighters Foundation.
D. All contestants will be placed into random groups for the competition and will receive a registration ticket, glass and t-shirt.
E. There will be four rounds of judging to determine which contestant can pour the Perfect Pint.
F. There will be a panel of eight (8) expert Guinness judges.
G. Judging criteria is structured to identify which competitor pours the Perfect Pint. The specific criteria used to help judge the best Guinness draught will include the following:
• Two-part pour
• 45 Degree angle of pour
• Let surge and settle
• Head proud of rim
• Tap handle technique
• Presentation—glass branding turned and facing judge
• Not allowing spout to touch glass/beer
• No spillage
H. Contestants scoring points on 7 of the above scoring criteria in Round 1 will advance to Round 2.
I. Contestants scoring points on 8 of the above scoring criteria will advance to the Award Rounds.
J. In the Award Rounds, winners will be determined based on the above scoring criteria and the contestant’s pouring style and technique as determined by the panel of Guinness judges.
K. Failure to observe any of the above terms absolves DeCrescente Distributing Co., Inc. of any and all liability and will disqualify a contestant from the promotion and prize eligibility.
PRIZES AND ODDS:
A. First Prize is a $2,000 travel voucher (provided through Celtic Tours and subject to all restrictions, fees and limitations on its use).
B. Second Prize is a Home Draft Unit (approximate value $750).
C. Third Prize is a Guinness Mini Fridge (approximate value $225)
Must be 21 to enter. Participants limited to 175.
