Featured Brewery of the Month: Artisanal Brew Works
Oct 02, 2017
Artisanal Brew Works is proudly owned and operated by Kurt Borchardt and Colin Quinn, both of whom are high school teachers at Saratoga Springs High School. Their artisanal style microbrewery is located on Geyser Road in Saratoga Springs, New York.
Artisanal is a New York State Farm Brewery, which by law has to use at least 20 percent New York State grown ingredients. They purchase their ingredients from farmers across New York state, including their malts from Convergence Craft located in Albany, New York.
Artisanal’s mission is to create ales that appeal to a wide variety of tastes. They currently produce a variety of beer styles, including IPAs, Belgian-style beers, Pale Ales, Brown Ales, and an Oatmeal Stout. Their flagship beers include White in the Glasses
, a Belgian Wit lightly spiced with coriander and orange peel, and Daily Double
, a juicy Double IPA dry hopped with Citra and New York grown Southern Cross.
Starting this October, Artisanal will release a new style of beer each month. The first brew to debut is BB Brown, a smooth English Brown Ale with chocolate malt flavors. This will be available in both draft and 16 oz cans.
If you find yourself in Saratoga, be sure to stop by Artisanal’s taproom and taste all of their offerings. There is a large outdoor family-friendly biergarten with plenty of lawn games, Adirondack chairs, and if the weather is nice, a variety of food trucks.
Artisanal is now available at a variety of bars, restaurants, and beverage centers. Look for it where you purchase beer!
