Featured Brewery of the Month: Fiddlehead Brewing Company
Feb 01, 2018
Fiddlehead Brewing Company is thrilled to announce their first plans for regular distribution in New York State. With the help of DeCrescente Distributing Company, you can expect to see their beer at select locations in the Capital Region starting February 23rd. Initial launch plans are for distribution of Fiddlehead’s flagship IPA. The two companies kicked off their relationship on January 25th when Fiddlehead Owner and Brewmaster, Matt Cohen, lead a formal educational brewing session on DeCrescente’s in house brewing system.
Fiddlehead Brewing Company
is located just outside of Burlington, VT, in the rural town of Shelburne. Owner and Brewmaster Matt “Matty-O” Cohen opened his doors on New Year’s Eve of 2011 and in the last five years, the company has seen substantial growth resulting in a recent expansion into a new 10,000 square foot facility. Their Fiddlehead IPA quickly became the #1 selling draft beer in the state of Vermont. Perfectly balanced, with a unique blend of American grown hops, Fiddlehead IPA is highly regarded as being accessible to beer drinkers with mature pallets as well as those who are new to the style. In addition to their flagship IPA, the brewery has gained worldwide acclaim with their Second Fiddle (Double IPA), Mastermind (Double IPA), Hodad (toasted coconut/vanilla/chocolate Porter), and the many limited draft and canned releases available throughout the year in their Shelburne, VT tasting room and store.
When they’re not brewing beer, Matty-O and crew can be found running around in the woods playing disc golf and taking in the local music scene.
