Best Costume and Drink Pairings for Halloween

Halloween is only a few days away and that means the costumes are coming! Nothing pairs better with a great costume than the perfect beverage in hand. Here are a few Halloween costume and drink combos that will surely reinvent traditional trick-or-treating.

A Leprechaun is always a Halloween favorite because it recycles well for March’s Saint Patrick’s Day. A tall green hat, green suit, beard and bubbler are all great assets for this costume, but the greatest asset would be a Guinness Stout. Guinness is the drink of choice for this costume because of its satisfying taste and its Irish heritage. One of the brew’s main storehouses is at Saint James’s Gate Brewery in Dublin, Ireland, and every sip will make you feel as if you were there. Everybody will be green with jealousy once they see how much fun you’re having while still remaining a proper lad.

Perhaps you want to be a bachelor this Halloween. Put on a suit and tie, grab yourself a dozen roses and hand them all out…you’ll be impressing people left and right. And what does a bachelor drink you ask? Moletto Prosecco of course! Whether you’re popping or sipping, be careful. These bachelor functions tend to get out of hand.

Now we can’t forget about the ladies. Since the guys will be roaring with champagne, what better complement for a bridesmaid than Angry Orchard Rose? This luxurious-tasting, hard apple cider will have you and your bff’s dancing the night away. Served in a beautiful pink bottle, the drink will complement your Halloween adventure and keep you looking classy as ever.
So do you want to be Nacho Libre and wear a poncho and sombrero? Well if you do, the drink choice for this costume is obvious. Corona Extra will have you wishing you were on a beach in Cancun, Mexico. Served with a lime, this great tasting Mexican lager will have you and all your friends feeling the festivities. You’ll be wiping some of the beer off your fake mustache, but you won’t regret it, I promise.
Pumpkin Spice is always a popular fall flavor, and pumpkin costumes are also a great choice for the occasion. Luckily for those of you that dress as a pumpkin, there are so many pumpkin inspired beers, such as Brooklyn Post Road Pumpkin, Saranac Pumpkin Ale and New Belgium Atomic Pumpkin. With these you can look as basic as the beverage in your hand.
And for those of you who want to be a lean, mean fighting machine, the Green Lantern will look exceptional accompanied by the iconic, green Heineken bottle. A favorite of many, this bottled beer is reminiscent of Amsterdam and will have you running back for more. The green superhero movie debuted in 2011 staring Ryan Reynolds. It was an unforgettable blockbuster hit, and surely you will be too with this green bottle by your side.
Halloween is one of the strangest, yet most fun and creative times of the year. It’s a time to really let your personality and your choice of beer shine in the moonlight. Spice your night up with any of these beers, and you’ll be sure to have a great time whatever costume you choose!
